Great breakfast. There is free WiFi access available throughout the property. This was a spur of the moment stay on our travels. We booked last minute and were really happy with our choice. The room was lovely, the couple running the guesthouse were very friendly and the breakfast the next morning was very tasty. We were given a good choice of menu options the night before, which meant breakfast was both efficient and tasty the next morning.
Would definitely choose this again if staying in the area. Location is good for getting to bars and restaurants in the evening and there is a nice selection nearby. The property was in a lovely location just on the edge of the town. It was clean and welcoming. We felt relaxed and at home from the moment we arrived. My partner and I can not wait to return for another visit. Lovely clean Guest House. John the host is very helpful. Great location to city centre of Largs.
With free parking and free Wi-Fi, the hotel offers cooked breakfasts. The owners Mae and Stewart were very friendly and welcoming, great location, room very comfortable, we had a room at front of house was a bit noisy, breakfast was included which was great had a choice of full cooked or continental. Would definitely stay again.

Ive been in both the summer and winter. Love the beach and shops. Visitor centre with the viking centre, soft play and swimming pool plus the nearby castle that's great for a day's outing. Lovely coastal town. Largs is a small interesting town, if you stay in self catering there are losts of shops and a large supermarket to shop in.
Largs relationship regarding the Vikings is very interesting. Lovely walks on the front, and the ferry across to Millport is great. The takeaway fish and chip shops are not all what they seem. Largs was ultra busy and a bit suffocating but we discovered the short ferry to Cumbrai island which was definitely worth the trip. If I went again I would get the ferry in the morning, have lunch and a long walk round the island and get back for evening.
Lots of people taking bikes over as there is a flat road all round the island. Superb views from the top road. Well Largs was where I used to stay when a child. I know it.
It is by the sea, and has lots of interesting places around it, not the least the ferry over to Millport. Its very near to Glasgow so people who want a seaside place can get here on the train easily from Glasgow.
People are just lovely. We visited Largs for the annual Viking festival, it was the first time for us, but wont be the last. It was an excellent weekend with plenty going on all day.
On the Saturday which was the main day, finding a place for an evening meal at a reasonable time was difficult due to the amount of people descending on the town, even the chippies had queues a mile long. Broom Lodge is in a wonderful location and the hostess couldn't have been nicer. I was only there for a night, but it was a wonderful way to start my stay in Scotland. The breakfast was very tasty with a wide assortment of food. I had a "shared" bathroom, but there were two available on my floor, so never a problem or wait for the facilities.
I had a lovely view of the water from my window and my bed was very comfortable. Lovely home. Very clean and tidy and lovely place to stay. Very good location for going out and about in Largs. Couple were so lovely and helped us out when we needed there help. Done everything they could to make sure we had the best stay.
Looked after all of us with the nice rooms and which would have been a hard job as there was 8 of us staying but overall brilliant stay and would stay there again if going back to Largs. Loved everything about this apartment. The location was perfect with everything we needed literally a stones throw away.
The lady I dealt with was really lovely when both checking in and out and we will more than likely be back!!! A really well appointed and conveniently placed flat. We had a wonderful time in Largs. I would recommend the flat to anyone thinking of visiting. Marlyn was great texting me details about where to park etc and very accomating when I had to change my plans and bring the dog with us.
I would thoroughly recommend staying here. Very accommodating and friendly hosts.
Stewart and Mae were very flexible in arranging a suitable ground floor room in Largs. Also, willing to adjust breakfast portions to suit with a nice selection of either cooked breakfast, eggs or fruit selection. Room was spotless and cleaned every day with fresh towels provided. Beautiful decor in a lovely building. Perfect location. Very comfortable suite with lovely view of seafront.
The breakfast was exceptional with eggs done to perfection and delicious black pudding. The Old Rectory is a gem.
